Flâner. black french culture, “bande de filles,” afrofuturism, fatou, sisterhood & more

Flâner is a short film by Cecile Emeke. Flaner is about exploring, highlighting and connecting stories of  young black women in Paris, France. Cecile found that the best way to approach such a huge and generalised topic  was to be as specific and intimate as possible , so she met up with Gaelle and Christelle, they talked for hours, spent the day together and captured some of it on film.
