Juno Restaurant London: Inside the Grand Opening

I was delighted to be invited by Ms Rebecca from We Are Memo, a London-based public relations agency, to the exclusive grand opening of Juno Restaurant on thursday, 15 October 2026. Described as Britain’s largest Italian restaurant, located in Kensington Olympia, London.

Attending on behalf of Abstract Friday, made the evening particularly special for me.

Here’s why

I’ve had Abstract Friday for years. It’s a platform I created out of my love for art, music, fashion, food, travel and culture. However, over time, life became increasingly busy, and I haven’t been publishing as regularly as I used to. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, I was seriously considering deleting Abstract Friday altogether.

I wondered whether there was any point in keeping a website I wasn’t updating as frequently as before. Then, completely unexpectedly, Ms Rebecca contacted me through Abstract Friday with an invitation to attend Juno’s grand opening.

It was such a lovely reminder that: Just because you’re not constantly updating something doesn’t mean it has stopped creating value. Your work can still be discovered. Your ideas can still reach people.

And the platform you’ve spent years building can still introduce you to opportunities. Sometimes we underestimate the value of the things we’ve already created. That invitation reminded me why I started Abstract Friday in the first place, and I’m so glad I didn’t delete it!

A Night to Remember at Juno

The grand opening was a wonderful celebration of Italian food, music, hospitality and culture. The evening was filled with memorable moments, from elegant Bride & Groom cocktails and flowing champagne to delicious roaming pizzas and canapés. Guests were treated to a beautiful live string quartet, a spectacular tiramisu wedding cake, an impressive Aperol tower and a shower of confetti! And the entertainment didn’t stop there! A fantastic five-piece Italian band and DJ brought the celebration to life, with guests dancing, laughing and enjoying limoncello shots throughout the evening.

The combination of Italian hospitality, lively music, delicious food and a fabulous crowd made it a truly memorable experience.

Well! Well! Well! I must confess, I only managed to take one photograph and a couple of short videos throughout the entire evening! And the reason? I was simply having too much fun! Between dancing, meeting and chatting with so many amazing people, enjoying the music and soaking up the incredible atmosphere, taking photographs was honestly the last thing on my mind. Sometimes, you’re having such a wonderful time that you forget to capture every moment.

And that’s exactly what happened at Juno!

It was one of those nights when you put your phone down and simply enjoy being present. Thankfully, I did manage to capture a few snippets of the celebrations, which I shared on my Instagram Stories. I’ve since put those little video clips together into a YouTube Short, which I’ve shared below so you can experience a glimpse of the evening for yourself. It may not capture every moment, but it certainly gives you a taste of the fun, energy and excitement!

A special thank you to Ms Rebecca and the team at We Are Memo for the kind invitation
