Walking at Borough Market London

I love a good market! and it doesn’t get better than Borough Market London. Borough Market is a wholesale and retail food market in Southwark, Central London, England. One of the largest and oldest market in London. It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London and sells a large variety of foods. The market is located across London Bridge train station. There are food stands, hot kitchens, and actual restaurants in Borough Market.

A week ago I and friends decided to visit Borough Market. It’s not just about the food on offer but also about the people and place. If you haven’t been to Borough Market, please make sure you bump this to the top of of your to-do list.

Here are a few pictures that I took on the day!

I have also included short videos about the joys of Borough Market. Enjoy!

Borough Market looks delightful. I’m pretty positive that if I lived anywhere near there, I would be there absolutely all the time. In fact, I’ve always wanted to live in London, and this just makes me want to live there more. Thank you for sharing.

Borough Market looks wonderful. Great photos. I love markets like this. I’ve been to a couple other markets in Greater London, but not this one. I will have to get there on one of my future visits.

I love Borough Market! You’ve really captured its colours. But did you try the chocolate??? Hotel Chocolat has a fabulous shop in Borough Market.

What an incredible market! I would LIVE there. I watched the television series, Inspector Lewis, which was filmed in the UK and many of the scenes were filmed in a market that looked very similar to this. I wonder if tis is where they filmed the series.

What a lovely and tempting virtual tour of Borough Market. The paella picture especially made my mouth water and reminds me how lucky Boise is to have a Basque population that enables me to have authentic paella every so often.

My niece is always telling me about how good and reasonable this market is. in your pictures, I saw some really unusual vegetables being sold there. I would have loved walking round the market. There is a smaller version near my Offices in London and I love walking round it at lunchtime. The queues at the takeaway stalls are always long so food must be good.

Great pictures. Personally love food markets all over the world. Not sure if I visited this one or not when I lived in London. I did however visited Brixton market once and they had a lot of interesting food on offer.

That looks like an impressive market. I recently went to one in Campbell California that looked similar except for the great old architecture you have at yours.

Great photos of Borough Market. What I love about European markets is that everything is so fresh. In the states we buy food and hope it lasts for a month so our produce is green.
